Sovereign Labs is an independent AI research division founded in 2026 with a single mission: build autonomous, verifiable, self-hosted AI systems that no external entity can control, revoke, or compromise.

We are not a startup chasing venture funding. We are not an academic lab publishing papers for career advancement. We are a focused engineering team building production-grade infrastructure for autonomous AI -- the kind that researches, builds, and improves itself in a fully auditable loop.

AI Governance. The Sovereign constitutional kernel ensures every AI action is validated, logged, and reversible. No operator can override the constitution. No prompt can bypass the audit trail.

Autonomous Research. The Research Kernel conducts investigations autonomously -- formulating hypotheses, testing them empirically, verifying results, and producing structured reports with full artifact provenance.

Self-Sustaining Training. Prometheus and GENESIS-100M form a closed loop: AI curates training data, AI generates synthetic data to fill gaps, AI trains on the result. No human bottleneck. No external API dependency.

Who funds Sovereign Labs?
We are independently funded. No venture capital, no corporate parent, no government grant. This independence is structural -- it ensures our research direction cannot be influenced by external stakeholders with conflicting interests.

Are you hiring?
We are a small, focused team and we are not actively hiring. However, we do engage with serious researchers and engineers on a project basis. See our contact page to reach out.

Do you release open-source software?
Our constitution is public. Our methodology is documented. Select components are released as open source where it does not compromise our competitive position. We believe in verifiable transparency, not blind trust.

How can I collaborate?

Where are you located?
Sovereign Labs operates with a distributed infrastructure. Our systems are self-hosted -- not in a cloud, not in a colocation facility we don't control.
